I usually use the name of the repository as a workspace name. To save your current configuration as a workspace, go to File > Save Workspace as and go to the folder that you are currently working on. They can have their own settings and seperate your projects in a way that each commit doesn’t impact other projects. Press CTRL + S(on Windows), or Command + S (on Mac), or go to File > Save. Just make sure that you update to file to your needs. Just know that I have blocked common names I give to credential files, and the README.md file because I don’t want changes to this file to impact my commit history.
